Judy is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Atlanta, Georgia (License Number: LPC006903), where she works with individuals, couples and families. She received her Master's degree in Professional Counseling from Richmont Graduate University. Additionally, she holds a Master in Education from Georgia State University, as well as a Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood Education from Berry College, Georgia.
Judy has successfully worked with children, adults, and families as a teacher in the public and private school settings, and as a home school professional for numerous years. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, she has provided counseling services to individuals, couples, and families at Mount Paran North Counseling Center, Hope Counseling Center in Atlanta, and Trillium Springs Counseling Center in Marietta, Georgia. Judy also works with missionaries ministering in the states, as well as those returning from overseas service.
Judy believes that a strong therapeutic relationship with her clients provides a safe environment, allowing each person to explore and determine their own goals for change. Her colleagues have noted that Judy displays unconditional acceptance, keen insight, and a genuine interest in her clients. She is passionate about helping them find hope in the midst of their despair and suffering, and rather than solely helping them learn to cope better with their circumstances, she is committed to helping them experience real change. Judy believes (and has witnessed again and again) that transformation is possible for those who choose to pursue and work hard toward that change.
Her many years of working with children, adults, and families has allowed Judy to hone her skills to help others face multiple life challenges including anxiety, depression, grief, boundaries, codependency, communication, identity development, marital and personal relationships, parenting skills (including special needs children), personal and spiritual growth, trauma survival, women's issues, and spouses that have been betrayed by their spouse's sexual addiction.
Judy has been married to her husband for 30 years and is mother to a son and a daughter, both in their 20s. In her free time she enjoys her friends, reading, hiking, biking, and the adventure of travel with her family.
